Aina Fornes Spain runner-up in Pentahlón Indoor Championships

The Dianense athlete, Aina Fornés comes from being runner-up in Spain in athletics in the Pentahlón modality, on the Indoor Track. The Junior category championships were held on the Antequera track.

Aina competed in the Pentahlón modality, which are 5 combined tests; 60 meters hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump and 800 smooth meters.

The competition started very well for the Dianense, since Aina won the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8'86″. She managed to score 939 points, which gave her the lead in the test.

In the high jump things did not go well, as it concluded in third place with a better jump of 1`60, added a total of 736 points. He lost the first place he left in the hands of the athlete, Patricia Ortega.

The debacle for Dianense arrived in the shot put, its worst discipline despite the great effort made in your workouts. Aina came in fifth place with a better launch 7 73 meters and centimeters. His direct rival, Patricia Ortega was second and extended his lead.

In the long jump a dogfight between Ortega and Aina Fornés, who fell from the side of the athlete Atletico San Sebastián, who won with a jump of 5 58 meters and centimeters lived. The Dianense was second with 5 47 meters and centimeters. The Dianense with this result recovered the lost second place in the shot put.

In the last event, the 800 meter dash, dominance went to Aina although her victory did not help her to be the champion of Spain, since Patricia Ortega was second. The Dianense's time was 2'25″, adding 96 points that were insufficient.

The final result of the Penthalón test was, champion of Spain, Patricia Ortega with a total sum of 3.610 points. The second place went to the CA Baleària Diànium athlete, Aina Fornés with 3.492 points. The podium was completed with the Andalusian, Laura Ortega.

His clubmate, Miquel Piera, did not make it past the semifinals in the 1.500 where he had a discreet performance, setting a time of 3'17" 22, more than 10 seconds from the mark that earned him a place in this championship.
