AEMET activates the orange alert for snow in the Marina Alta

The State Meteorological Agency activates the unusual orange alert for snow throughout the north coast of Alicante. Although it is true that it was already warned that the snow would fall in the Valencian Community, until now they did not see the possibility that it could fall so close to the coast.

Now, the AEMET activates the orange alert due to the significant risk that these snowfalls may pose, which have a probability of falling of up to 70%. It will have an accumulation of snow in 24 hours of 15 centimeters and these could occur in some parts of the Marina Alta even below 600 meters.

The alert will be activated from 11:00 on Thursday until 05:00 on Friday.
