Abandonment of Álex Sirerol in the second race in Aragon STK600

14 2015 April - 00: 01

The weekend did not end as Álex Sirerol and the MSTeam expected. After some promising practice and a point in his debut career in the FIM Superstock 600 European Championship, his sights were set on re-entering the top 15 in the second heat.

The situation was again the same, 21ª grid position and the need to make a good start to gain positions. Things, however, did not turn out as indicated in the script. In the game the Dianense could not overtake many positions and was embedded in a group in which the highlights were constant.

After reaching their own pace, he began to recover positions until, on lap six, a brush with a pilot ended all options stay in the race.

The cowling was damaged and Kawasaki was not as well as it was necessary to ensure the safety of the pilot. This forced Sirerol to take the pitlane earlier than expected and say goodbye to Aragon with a somewhat bittersweet.

Alex said after the test "on the first lap I had touch with many riders and I had to go outside. This has made many rivals adelantasen me. Then I remounted and I have placed in the 18 position until lap six a pilot touched me and kicked me out. This caused problems on the bike, which has forced me to stop".
