The neighborhood meetings return to Dénia

29 September 2021 - 11: 02

The neighborhood meetings for the 2021-2022 fiscal year start next week with a format that is already very similar to the usual one. Once the main restrictions imposed by the pandemic have been overcome, the meetings will be held without a capacity limit and in the usual locations.

The commitment for the new edition is that, with relative immediacy, the councilor of each neighborhood, the competent municipal technicians and the person who has presented the complaint visit the specific place where the problem is located and study the alternative solutions on the spot.

On the other hand, in addition to registering complaints and proposals for improving the neighborhood, periodically, the meetings will also be used to offer information to the neighborhood about projects that affect the area, explained by the competent political official in the matter.

«Queremos también fijar definitivamente los lugares de celebración de las reuniones y las fechas, para que sean fáciles de recordar y la ciudadanía tenga presente el día que toca reunión de barrio»: la House of Culture (meetings of the Paris Camp-Roig and Montgó-Eructas neighbourhoods), the Youth building (Under the Sea-Behind and Marines), the Social Center (La Faroleta-Diana and Saladar) and the Participation Space of the Gates (Rocks , West-Camps and Port-Center).

183 requests received since November 2020

During the last edition of the neighborhood meetings, which started in November 2020 and was irregular, with only five meetings per neighborhood, due to the incidence of the pandemic, a total of 183 questions, complaints or suggestions were registered, of which 50% has already been resolved.

The main issues of doubts and concerns expressed by the neighborhood are issues related to mobility problems (28% of the total), works, sidewalks and asphalt (20%) and cleaning (16%). Complaints and proposals were also collected on parks and gardens (9%), rainwater (5%), lighting (4%), environment (4%), police and security (4%), urban planning (2%) and beaches (2%).

How the mayor has remembered, Vicent Grimalt, "This is a very positive resolution percentage, which shows the effectiveness of this participation instrument."

To communicate with the Dénia City Council and register incidents, in addition to neighborhood meetings, citizens have at their disposal: the Dénia App, the email address pciutadana@ayto-denia.es, the Neighborhood Council, the web www.denia. es and the municipal registry of entry.
