Last Friday Hospital de Dénia hosted the V Prenvención Cancer Day, this time focused on cervical cancer and its prevention.
In this edition, which had as obejtivo to inform the healthcare professional and the population incidence and importance of cervical cancer and the need to strengthen primary and secondary prevention through vaccination and participation in screening programs, 80 participated professionals from all over Valencia.
The inauguration was attended by the Regional Secretary of Public Health and Public Health System, Dolores Salas, the manager of the Department of Health Dènia, Ángel Giménez, and the director of Public Health Center from Dénia, Pascual Martí.
During the inauguration, Gimenez stressed the importance of diagnosis in the prevention of cervical cancer, which is the second most common in women after breast and fifth of all cancers worldwide cancer.
