Foundation Baleària, through the solidarity campaign 'Xiquets de Tànger i Tetuàn' has delivered more than a thousand kilos of non-perishable food, as well as hygiene and educational material to the home for children without families Dari de Tetuán, in Morocco. In addition to food, the volunteers donated an electric oven, a kitchen battery, a bread mixer and several mattresses.
The manager of the Fundació Baleària, Ricard Pérez, and two volunteers of the entity traveled to Morocco to personally deliver. Along the way, they were also accompanied by the heads of the NGO from Algeciras, the Mediterranean Society for Dialogue and Cooperation. In Tetuan, they were received by the consul of Spain, Francisco Ochoa, and those responsible for the Dari home.
Dari Tetuan center belongs to the private association Amal al Atfal and is responsible for hosting and attending in residence for children who lack family and, in most cases, have been abandoned at the time of his birth. 25 of all children currently residing in Dari, three of them are suffering from severe disabilities.
