"On March 8 we women stop the world": women (and some men) demonstrate in Dénia

Convened by the Xarxa de Dones of the Marina Alta, more than a hundred women, and a man who also participated, toured the center of Dénia in the traditional event of International Women's Day, which this year was held on Friday afternoon.

In it he shouted "Enough" doors "all the violence we go through", and they made a call "to public or private entities, to the administration, to associations, to citizens in general to facilitate the strike, and to all women in particular to make the strike".

The manifesto denounced violence against women and the lack of policies that put an end to feminicide; the wage gap between men and women and homophobia and transphobia as another form of sexist violence, among other things.

The manifesto ended with the cry "The March 8 women stop the world".
