The demonstration called by trade unions in Dénia, who started the 11 morning the square Archduke Carlos grew in number as he advanced through the streets of the city, reaching collect about 2.000 protesters on the streets Via Diana and Marqués de Campo.

Under slogans like "Either this is fixed or we go on strike" o "You who are looking at us are also being robbed", the protesters peacefully walked through the streets to the port. Although they wanted to continue their journey, members of the National Police prevented them and decided to turn back and return to the Glorieta del País Valencià, where they read a manifesto and invited the protesters to attend the plenary session that was held at 14 p.m. in the City Hall, although in the end not many people came. It should be noted that the town hall closed the main door and several national police officers patrolled the doors of the town hall to avoid altercations.

According to the unions, the strike was supported by 70% in education, the garbage services supported it in its entirety, respecting the minimum services, as did the TRAM to Alicante, and the ship that had to leave for Ibiza from the shipping company. Baleària stayed in the port. The fishermen did go out to fish and in health the incidence was not very high because only officials had the option to carry it out and there are practically no officials at the regional hospital.
