16 school representatives will be part of the new Consell d'Infància i Adolescència de Dénia

Yesterday the constitution of the Consell d'Infància i Adolescència took place for the 2021/2022 academic year. This meant the election of 16 school representatives, boys and girls from the city. They will send their "proposals, suggestions, opinions and requests" to improve Dénia and make it better for children, according to Vicent Grimalt, mayor of the municipality.

Another of the specific and new jobs of the child counselors for the current course is the planning of the Week of Children and Adolescents. This week will serve to commemorate World Children's Day on November 20.

The Councilor for Social Welfare and Education, Melani Ivars, explained to the Council that this celebration "will help us to implement many of the proposals for leisure activities that you have suggested to us in previous years and to see if it is viable to maintain a stable programming throughout throughout the entire course".

Vicent Grimalt and Melani Ivars also reviewed some of the requests from previous editions of the Council that have already materialized in municipal policies. In this sense, the mayor stressed that "from January 2022 we will open school playgrounds on weekends so you can play."

For her part, the councilor mentioned that soon "we will know how the new closed area of ​​the Marqués de Campo site will be," regarding the demand for more parks in the city. In addition to the shortly construction of a pump track, a circuit with different slopes for the bikes, in charge of the Participatory Budgets.

In this way, the Consell d'Infància i Adolescència has already started to collect the new proposals to send them to the council at the end of the course.
