Baleària and the Ardentia Marine refloating team yesterday unloaded all the cars inside the fast ferry Pinar del Río, except a caravan and two motorcycles that required special fasteners and will be unloaded today. After the 16h of yesterday the crane installed for this purpose unloaded the first vehicle, and worked continuously until 23h, when the last one was unloaded. The vehicles were unloaded safely and without any damage being recorded.
Simultaneously, the shipping company notified the owners of the first vehicles that were being unloaded, of which five already picked up their car yesterday. This morning will continue to notify passengers who had the vehicle on board, and in some cases Baleària Will send them where customers request.
To unload the vehicles, they were located and secured one by one on the stern ramp and were unloaded by crane. Afterwards, they moved to the boarding area of vehicles of the maritime station.
On the other hand, work continues on the refloating work of the ship.
It should be remembered that as of today the connections of the ship aground will be retaken by the fast ferry Jaume I, which allows to maintain the departure times and duration of the crossing in the connections between Dénia, Ibiza and Palma that carried out the Pinewood of the river.
