The auditorium of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia was the venue for the presentation of the XVIII Canal Cup, one of the most traditional regattas organized by the Dianense club, together with Diana de Oro. The driver of the same was his President, Jaime Portolés.
From the 9 day in October the race office will open, for the registration of the participants, there will be delivered the instructions of the race. As usual, the regatta will depart from the facilities of the Dianense club in the direction of the port of San Antonio de Portmany, on Friday 10 in October, at 11 hours. Before, there will be a meeting of the participating patrons in the assembly hall.
The boats will have 56 miles ahead between the port of Dénia and the arrival in the vicinity of the Nautical Club of San Antonio de Portmany. It is expected that the fastest boats arrive late in the afternoon, depending on the force with which the wind blows.
The novelty of this edition is that there will be only one classification, which will be the ORC and not two as there was in the previous edition. The regatta is scoring for the Spanish Mediterranean Height Championship in ORC.
A participation of 30 and 40 ships is expected, of which 50% belong to the Real Club Nautico Denia.
