The Circarte Festival, which this year celebrates its 11th edition from October 16 to 25 in six municipalities of the Province of Alicante, returns to Dénia on the afternoon of October 24 with two contemporary circus shows.
One of the main motivations for holding the Festival in Dénia is to support the cultural sector, seriously affected by the COVID-19 crisis, while offering citizens a different and high-quality cultural leisure proposal with all the guarantees of security. From the organization of the Festival and the City Council itself, all the measures required to guarantee collective safety will be taken, among others, with reduction and control of capacity, taking temperature, use of a mask and separation between the attending public.
The first of the afternoon shows will be “The Silly World Walkers”, which will take place on Calle La Vía at 18pm. This is the first co-production of the Circarte Festival, which this year is especially committed to supporting local creation, and where we will be able to see different circus techniques such as acrobatics, juggling, manipulation of elements, physical theater and live music. The show will be offered free of charge with advance booking of invitations through the festival website.
Next, the Auditorium of the Social Center will offer the show “Los viajes de Bowa” by the company La Gata Japonesa, where we will once again see the acrobat Elena Vives, who already participated in 2018 with a trapeze number during the Circus Gala held He offered at the Auditorium, this time with his first solo show that includes aerial acrobatics, magic, manipulation of objects and balances. Tickets at € 5 can be obtained through the festival website.
To speed up access to the shows and for control reasons against COVID-19, advance reservation and purchase of tickets is requested.
