The streets of Dénia will become, on May 6, the stage of the DAMA Festival Dénia, an event of street arts, movement and action. The festival is organized by the Department of Culture of the Dénia City Council under the artistic direction of Isabela Alfaro, director of the CIRCUITO BUCLES Dance Festival in Valencia; director of Frágiles Danza, distributor and producer of performing arts; professional dancer and teacher at the University of Valencia; and has the support of the Provincial Council of Alicante.
DAMA Festival Dénia is an evolution of the Dansant a la Marina festival, which began to be held in the city in 2018 focused on dance in urban and unconventional spaces, and expands its content to include other artistic disciplines.
The festival will take place between 12:00 noon and 21:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 6 in two spaces in the city: the first section of the Calle Marques de Campo and the Plaza del Consell, creating an ideal circuit to take the tour and enjoy all the shows.
The program includes five professional dance and circus shows, a participatory urban dance activity, and a show featuring five dance schools from the city.
