The Mostra Internacional de Dansa Folklòrica organized by the Department of Culture returns this September after two years of absence due to the pandemic. The Mostra, which celebrates its 29th edition this year, will return to its usual stage in Plaça del Consell on September 2, 3 and 4.

On September 2, at 22 pm, the group Kud Krusik, from the Serbian city of Valjevo, will perform. The formation, created in 1947, has been awarded numerous times, both internationally and in its country, where it has won the first prize three times at the festival of folk ensembles of the Republic of Serbia.

It has approximately 160 members, who are divided into four dance groups (stage group, preparatory group and two children's groups), a music band and technical personnel in charge of maintaining the costumes and traditional instruments made by hand.

On the night of the 3rd, also at 22 p.m., the 'Rosa del azafrán' Choir and Dance Association of Consuegra (Toledo) will offer a sample of its traditional repertoire from La Mancha, made up of the three fundamental genres - the seguidilla, the fandango and the jota-; genres performed by the instruments typical of this area such as the lute, the bandurria, the guitar in its different variants and the violin.

His philosophy lies in combining tradition and scene to configure spectacular paintings based on nineteenth-century romanticism. For this, the exhaustive work of recovering traditional clothing is important, which is shown on stage through original pieces that move in a chronological range that goes from the last third of the XNUMXth century to the first decades of the XNUMXth century.

And as usual, the local formation Dianium Dansa will close the festival. It will be on September 4, at 21:XNUMX p.m.

Dianium Dansa was created in 1984 with the aim of recovering and spreading our culture through traditional Valencian dances and the conservation of clothing. Currently, the group has 38 members aged between 6 and 70 years.

To carry out its objective of publicizing the folklore and customs of the Valencian people, in addition to the usual classes received by the members of the formation, Dianium Dansa carries out popular workshops and actively participates in the cultural life of Dénia.
