The Dianense athlete, Andrés Fernández Gimeno, Olympic pit shooter is one of the candidates for the award as "Best Disabled Athlete" of the year awarded by the Provincial Council of Alicante. The award will be delivered in the "XXV Sports Gala of Alicante"
The Provincial Sports Awards of the Provincial Council of Alicante they are sports awards that are awarded from 1980 by the Provincial Council of Alicante with the Association of the Sports Press of Alicante. With them it is tried to recognize the merits of all the figures of the Alicante sport.
So much so, that clubs, technicians, athletes of all conditions and disciplines, as well as different media, and the public in general, meet annually at the Gala that is held to pay homage to the world of Alicante sports and make delivery of the trophies that are distributed following 6 different modalities and a special mention.
This Sports Prize is the most important in the Province of Alicante. And this year, coinciding with the XXXV Edition of the Awards, the Sports Department of the County Council has made a greater effort and wanted to offer the public in general and sports fans, the possibility of being able to speak and vote their figure of the Alicante sport.

The result of the votes will be known in the course of the XXXV Provincial Sports Gala 2018 to be held next Monday 14 in May, at 20: 30 h. in the Auditorium of the Diputación de Alicante.
