Foia of Castalla in the Galician athlete, based in Dénia, Víctor Fernández He inscribed his name with gold letters as the absolute winner of the prestigious 27.5km race that is organized every year around Ibi and that was celebrating its XXVIIth edition.
With a sensational chrono of 1h44: 51 (at an average of 3'49 "Km) the athlete of Franc Beneyto Runners prevailed in this hard test that has great unevenness, running with an intelligence worthy of every great runner.
He was always in a second group of athletes and only a lack of 5 Km for target was when he decided to change his pace to try to chase the runner.
He did it and a couple of kilometers later he saw that the leader of the test was a short distance away. He followed his ride in the "lone ranger" plan and reached a kilometer later.
As he was hunting, he thought it was best to keep running at the pace he had to test the forces that were left to him and thus avoid a final sprint.
The surprise was that Pedro Morillo and Victor could not follow thus began to believe in himself, in his chances of winning this recognized test.
He reached the finish first, as absolute winner, first of all after a very great career. The joy was overwhelming, almost could not believe not, but Victor, a tireless worker, example for everyone deserved this victory and fulfill this dream difficult.
In this test also his clubmates participated; Juanjo Miralles and Miguel Murillo, both also made a very good race finishing it in 2h04: 38 (4'32 ") and 2h08'45 (4'41") respectively.
