Vicent Grimalt has been proclaimed as a candidate for mayor of Dénia by the Electoral Guarantees Committee of the Federal Executive of the PSOE. The candidacy presented by the current general secretary of the socialist party of Dénia, and municipal spokesman was the only one. Once the term of presentation of endorsements in populations greater than 20.000 inhabitants was proclaimed to head the list.
Grimalt far exceeded the number of guarantees needed in this case was the 20% of the militants gaining a total of 105 from 193 affiliates.
Thus, Vicent Grimalt is the first official candidate who will fight for being the Dianense mayor, as the other parties have not yet made official their candidates, although in most cases is more than clear who the candidate .
Grimalt thanked the support of affiliates dianenses "the response from people has been important party, many have given me back, and I continue to show their support. This shows that we are united and we will all one".
From this union, Vicent Grimalt commented that "It is the first step to achieve our goal that is none other than winning the elections.
