Vicent Grimalt asks to respect the "great sacrifice" of the Dianenses before the end of the perimeter closure

May 13 from 2021 - 10: 04

The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, has participated this morning in the program Les notícies del matí, of the Valencian television À Punt, through an interview to talk about the end of the perimeter closure. With the fall of the state of alarm, the confinement of the Valencian Community has also fallen, so it is expected that visitors from other communities will soon arrive. A scene that rejoices, but at the same time worries.

Dénia is in a very favorable health situation. In fact, it is true that the Valencian Community is one of the regions in all of Europe with the lowest incidence of COVID-19, and within this Dénia is one of the towns that registers the least positive in recent weeks. It is undeniable that the restrictions that have been imposed since January, the toughest in all of Spain, have had something to do with it. But now these are relieved by giant steps and it is normal to feel vertigo and a certain fear of what it may entail. More with summer just around the corner.

Along these lines, Vicent Grimalt has shown himself in Les notícies del matí proud of the behavior of the residents of Dénia, and has been cautious about the lifting of the perimeter closure. "You are welcome and welcome, but with the same degree of responsibility that we have demanded ourselves in recent months," commented the mayor, stating that everything achieved "has been thanks to a great sacrifice that deserves to be respected so as not to lose what has been won.

Grimalt has ensured that compliance with all current measures will be controlled, but in the same way he calls for the responsibility of neighbors and tourists, because, as he points out, "the most effective vaccine is still us."
