Learn about the history of the region Marina Alta It can be fun for the younger ones. At least that is what they have thought in the Associated Center of the UNED in Dénia with the organization of a historic gymkhana through the streets of Beniarbeig. An activity that had the collaboration of the City Council of this municipality and the sponsorship of the Provincial Council of Alicante. The objective was to disclose the relations that in the past existed between Beniarbeig and the Marquesado de Dénia.
Through a set of tests and crafts participants solved a historical frame for which counted on little clues related to streets and characteristic places of Beniarbeig. The resolution of all of them led them to know the chronology of the Marquess of Denia, from the first Marquis, Diego Gómez de Rojas y Sandoval, until the arrival of the House of Medinaceli. Also dig a little more about the geographical location of the Marquesado, the main industrial sectors of the time and even litigation by mastering Segària who had the Marquis of Denia and the Marquise de Amayuelas.
The activity aimed at young people between 10 and 18 years old, was formed by group of six. The winners were presented with a diploma and a SmartWatch.
With this type of outdoor workshops Associated Center of the UNED Dénia aims to promote the history of Beniarbeig among younger people, while promoting the acquisition of healthy leisure habits, encouraged participation and youth associations.
