On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Associated Center UNED Dénia will give a course in which the main characteristics of gender violence will be analyzed, some of the characteristics of the abuser, the consequences for the victim, action protocols, as well as the psychological support they need to be able to face the problem.
This is the university extension course "The therapeutic intervention in gender violence", framed within the activities of THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY AGAINST GENDER VIOLENCE that will be held between November 23 and 24 and in which the Doctor of Medicine with a specialty in Psychiatry, José Carlos Fuertes Rocañin, the Professor of the UNED of the Faculty of Psychology, Beatriz García Rodríguez, and the Psychologist in the Civil Guard Corps, Ana Cristina Gaya Pérez will take part.
This activity allows the option of participating with face-to-face or live online assistance, without having to go to the center and is aimed at psychologists, health personnel, students of biosanitary degrees and the general public. In addition, there is the possibility of validating the course for 0,5 ECTS credits.
