The team of the Uned de Dénia, almost complete, went to Madrid for the Ceremony of the National Award 2019 of the Social Council for “And what do you know about UNED? UNED Trivial ” for the 'good practice'. An event that rewards the effort and merit of both UNED students and good practices by the PDI (Teaching and Research Personnel), the PAS (Administration and Service Personnel) and the Associated Centers.
The main role of the Social Council of the UNED is to bring the University closer to society as well as to promote excellence and innovation, an objective that the initiative “And what do you know about UNED? UNED Trivial ” contributing to create a play space and information about the UNED.
"This act celebrates dreams, initiative, will and perseverance in the search for knowledge, which have led to excellence the best members of the UNED" highlighted Mr. Miguel Minaya Vara, journalist of the Center of Audiovisual Media (CEMAV) of the University, responsible for conducting the ceremony.
The Associated Centers were congratulated by Mr. Francisco Javier García Sanz, President of the Social Council of
the UNED “For collaborating in the difficult but necessary task of bringing Higher Education closer to society”.
Mrs. Raquel Martí Signes, Director of CA UNED Dénia highlighted “The collaboration and complicity on the part of the entire UNED Dénia team to publicize the UNED in all places of the Spanish geography. The UNED Trivial is an idea that starts from a previous work visiting and collaborating in the education fairs of the different towns of the Baixa and Alta Marina Regions. The predisposition of cooperation and collaboration of all the staff of the Center led us to create this communicative strategy to publicize the UNED and its advantages. "
Martí added that "As a member of the UNED community, we are grateful for this Award to the Social Council of the UNED for valuing our idea and work so positively. For the UNED Dénia Associate Center, receiving this Prize is an honor, since there is no greater satisfaction in recognizing the work and the creativity of a whole team, especially of the PAS of the Center, which has worked with such enthusiasm for it."
This is the fourth time that CA UNED Dénia receives a first prize at the national level within the UNED, an unequivocal sign of excellent teamwork and leadership with a clear commitment to meeting the objectives of sustainable development (SDG) and the 2030 agenda.
The ceremony was chaired by the Rector of the UNED, Mr. Ricardo Mairal Usón, and the Secretary General of Universities, Mr. José Manuel Pingarrón Carrazón; the President of the Social Council of the UNED, Mr. Francisco Javier García Sanz; the President of the Court of the Prizes to the Good Practices of the Personnel of Administration and Services (PAS) and Teaching and Researcher Personnel (PDI) of the UNED, Mrs. Carmen Perona Mata; the President of the Court of the Prizes to the Good Practices of the Associated Centers, Mr. Juan Luis Martín Cuesta, and the President of the Court of the Prizes to the Study, Mr. Cristóbal Belda Iniesta. The day was enlivened by the UNED Choir, directed by Mr. Luis Antonio Muñoz.
