This morning the Meeting of the Governing Board of the UNED was held in Dénia, chaired by the president of the Consortium, first vice president of the Alicante Provincial Council and deputy for Culture, Mrs. Julia Parra Aparicio, and Jesús Andrés Sanz, vice-rector, also participated of Associated Centers, Raquel Martí, director of the Associated Center UNED Dénia, Vicente Grimalt, vice president of the Consortium and mayor of Dénia, and the Councilor for Education and Equality of Xàbia, Ms. Montse Villaverde, in addition to the 18 members of the councilors of the municipalities that are part of the Consortium and the representative of the faculty, PAS and students of the Associated Center, who have attended the meeting in person and online.
This meeting has been held at the beginning of the new school year, which will be used to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the UNED Dénia. Four decades in which access to higher degrees has been facilitated for thousands of people and which will be celebrated with an event on December 17, giving the Hammond awards to students.
This trajectory of the center has wanted to praise the president of the Consortium, Julia Parra. for 40 years it has been providing a fundamental educational service, giving the possibility of accessing higher studies to many people from the north of the province of Alicante who, otherwise, would not have been able to complete their training ”, pointed out Parra.
Prior to this meeting, Raquel Martí, director of the UNED, has informed the media about the news of this course, which will have an identical budget to the previous one (of 1.300.000 euros). Among them, the incorporation of more than a dozen micro-titles with which students can specialize in their fields stands out. This new offer joins the wide range of proposals, which has 28 degrees, almost 80 master's degrees, 21 international, senior and CUID doctoral programs.
