The new cultural space Dénia Castle, "La Sala", was officially inaugurated yesterday Thursday afternoon with the celebration of the talk The church of Santa María de la Vila de Dénia. History of the building, reconstruction and virtual anastilosis Dome Vila Vella.
The lecture was given by Professor of the University of Valencia, Juan Carlos Navarro Fajardo, who painstakingly explained the painstaking research conducted for virtually rebuild the vault of that church.
The municipal archaeologist, Josep GisbertCompleted the talk with the description of this Gothic church, between the fourteenth and eighteenth centuries was the center of the religious practices of the city and disappeared into 1708. Gisbert also showed a S.XIX manuscript, unpublished so far, in which a detailed description of the church appears.
