A private sailing boat was stranded this morning in the middle of the bathing area of the beach of The Bovetes. Despite many attempts and various maneuvers, it has been impossible to remove it.
In the presence of a large number of bathers who today enjoyed bathing in one of the beaches of greatest influx, a sailboat of about 8 meters in length has been practically blocked on the shore.
This morning the boat had run aground on a sandbar about 200 meters from the shore, from where they have not been able to remove it. When released, the current has dragged him into the bathing area until he was in the middle of the breaking of the waves.
Despite the continuous attempts, there is no way to refloat it, so the boat will have to wait for some time in the place, possibly days, until a refloating plan is processed from the Maritime Captaincy.
