Last night, residents of different coastal towns of Alicante notified the emergency service about an earthquake that shook a large number of populations.
The earthquake of 3 degrees on the Richter scale was registered after 6:21 p.m. on Wednesday, with its epicenter in the Mediterranean Sea in front of Cabo de Palos. Despite the fact that it took place at a depth of 30 kilometers, many residents of various towns in Alicante notified 10 about the effects of the earthquake.
Although the greatest intensity was noted in Elx, Sant Joan d'Alacant, Alfàs del Pi and Mutxamel, the tremor also reached less intensely in towns in the Marina Alta like Denia.
