El Real Club Nautico Denia participated in the XI Eurochallenge that took place from the 3 to the 5 of May in Villajoyosa. Toni Gil, of the Dianense club, has achieved gold in the k1 cadet category after completing a route of 22 km. The paddler achieved a good reading of the test and provided energy to make the long journey with a good pace.
Dianense Marcos Ortega got the second position in the k1 cadet category after a good competition with 22 km of course. Maik Dimitrov, meanwhile, ranked seventh in the youth category k1.
The main test of the Eurochallenge took place during the day on Saturday and was marked by bad weather conditions. The competition had the exit at the beach of Villajoyosa and the arrival at the port of Altea, with 22 km of route for all the categories.
The XI Eurochallenge of Villajoyosa has counted with the participation of paddlers from different countries, such as France, Italy, Germany or South Africa, among others.
Jaime Portolés, President of the Real Club Náutico Dénia, congratulated the winners of the club and transmitted all their support for the upcoming competition dates.
