A new outbreak of work-related coronavirus affects Dénia

The Ministry of Health has communicated the appearance of a new coronavirus outbreak in Dénia, after several days without registering any episode of this type. It is an outbreak of labor origin and that has affected 4 people so far, all testing positive for coronavirus. No further information about the place where it occurred has been disclosed.

It has been announced together with the data update that the Generalitat carries out daily through Health. The Valencian Community has registered 1.060 cases confirmed by PCR test or through antigen test, which put the total number of positives at 52.676 people. By provinces, the distribution is as follows: 85 in Castellón (5.621 in total); 437 in Alicante (17.939 in total), and 538 in the province of Valencia (29.109 in total). Furthermore, the total number of unassigned patients remains at 7.

For its part, since the last update there have been 679 discharges to patients with coronavirus, so the total number of people cured since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 53.671: 6.117 in Castellón, 17.973 in Alicante and 29.535 in Valencia. In addition, the total number of unassigned discharges amounts to 46.

Thus, there are currently 7.109 cases active, representing 11,37% of the total positives.

Valencian hospitals currently have 766 people admitted: 70 in the province of Castellón, with 10 patients in ICU; 261 in the province of Alicante, 52 of them in the ICU; and 435 in the province of Valencia, 55 of them in the ICU.

On the other hand, there have been 10 deaths from coronavirus since the last update, so the total number of deaths is 1.753 people: 256 in the province of Castellón, 606 in Alicante and 891 in Valencia.

The total number of tests carried out for the detection of the coronavirus amounts to 1.290.827, of which 1.135.620 have been through PCR and 155.207 through rapid tests.

Updating the situation in residences

To date, there are some positive cases in 30 nursing homes (4 in the province of Castellón, 9 in the province of Alicante and 17 in the province of Valencia), 6 centers of functional diversity (2 in the province of Castellón and 4 in the province of Valencia), and 1 center for minors (in the province of Alicante).
