53 years a man lost his life on Sunday afternoon at the beach of Las Marinas Denia, at the height of the Nereids. Apparently, around 19: 00 hours and when the lifeguard service had finished, the man who was with friends at the beach, delved into the sea with a boat.
Police sources indicate that the man became nervous because of the wind and jumped into the water to swim to reach shore, but perished in the attempt. After several hours of searching, his body was found at the Maritime Rescue 21 hours.
With the death of this man, there are already three people who have lost their lives in the beaches of Dénia this 2016. Two weeks ago two women drowned on the beaches of Els Molins y Punta del Raset.
