El Hospital de Dénia has signed a collaboration agreement with Grup Nodrissa so that a group of expert mothers offer the main keys so that breastfeeding is a success among first-time women who give birth at the Dianense health center.
It is a group of 6 expert mothers and trained in lactation that explain tricks, techniques and tips that facilitate the initiation of breastfeeding. They also offer advice during the first 24-48 hours of baby's life, as it is the most vulnerable time for the establishment of breastfeeding.
The Grup Nodrissa advice is given every working day in the evenings in the hospital rooms, where the NGO volunteers address those mothers who wish to breastfeed their babies to inform them and resolve their doubts.
