A possibly widespread failure endangers the first weekend of the Dénia Consumer Bonus campaign

November 05 from 2022 - 13: 01

UPDATE: First thing in the afternoon of Saturday, the City Council of Dénia has reported that the error has been resolved, so it should be possible to use the voucher normally in the participating businesses.

The second edition of the Dénia Consumer Bonus campaign begins in the worst possible way. Many businesses attached to the promotion report this Saturday a system failure that prevents them from reading customer bonuses, so they cannot use the money already spent previously to purchase the offer.

Although they have not confirmed to us if it occurs in all the merchants of the campaign, many of these merchants assure that the failure, in fact, is suffered by all the participants. Throughout the morning they have not been able to serve the customers who came to the stores with their vouchers to make purchases.

These merchants also fear that it will not be resolved until Monday and they will lose an entire weekend of promotion, these days being the most lucrative since people are more willing to go shopping. As they point out, everything indicates that they will have to wait for the bug to be fixed next week.

Consumer Bonds

The Consumer Bonds are a promotion of the City Council with which the administration is responsible for paying half the amount of purchases in participating establishments. This was to begin on November 4 (after a first postponement, since the original date was October 31) and end on the 19th of the same month.

It is not the only controversy surrounding this campaign, as many Dénia merchants have been oblivious to it due to ignorance of its existence. This would explain the low participation of companies in both editions. In addition, some have reported technical failures when registering that have prevented them from joining the promotion.

That slogan of the City Council IS NOT TRUE.
THE CITY COUNCIL DOES NOT MAKE MONEY. COLLECT IT.
THAT 50%, WHICH ANNOUNCES, IS PAID BY THE CITIZENSHIP WITH THEIR TAXES. POSSIBLY THE MAJORITY THAT IS NOT GOING TO BENEFIT FROM THE MENTIONED BONUSES.
IT WAS NOT SAID THEY HAVE EXPANDED THE LIST OF SHOPS TO BE ABLE TO USE. IN THE FIRST AND I DON'T KNOW IF THE ONLY ONE. THE FOOD GUILD WAS MISSING.
PERHAPS THE ONE THAT MOST FAVORS THE BUYER.
    Good morning.

      Good morning,
The financing of this Campaign, like the first one that was done, does not come from the taxes of the citizens of Dénia. It is a special European funding to alleviate the consequences of the crisis, so it does not seem fair to me to say that some citizens pay for the purchases of others.
Yes, I have missed greater promotion of the Campaign among local businesses, although it was published on the City Council's website, like all the calls that come out of subsidies, aid, etc.

      • Luis says:

And where does the European community get the money for subsidies, from the air? From the tax money of European citizens among whom we count ourselves. It's enough to think that subsidies, aid, etc. come from the air and here they are distributed like candy or they end up in pockets that don't need them.
