During the afternoon of Monday, on the 20: 30 hours, a car was set on fire at the time when I was standing at the traffic light on the Avenida de Alicante with the junction with Calle Campo Torres, Dénia.
The firemen had to go quickly to put out the fire that caused a column of smoke several meters high, visible from the Plaza de Autobuses, Archduke Carlos and a strong smell.
The event attracted neighbors and curious people who, alarmed, observed the work of the firemen during the time that the fire extinguishing work lasted.
Because of the incident, traffic along the avenue was diverted, for almost an hour, in the direction out of Dénia.
Fortunately, there is no need to lament personal injury, since the woman occupying the vehicle has not suffered any damage other than fright and is not for less when observing the images.
