The Occupational Center of La Xara hosted last weekend the realization of a volunteer workshop that managed APROSDECO thanks to a grant from the Diputación de Alicante. A hundred people attended the workshop to learn more about the world of disability at the hand of the president of Condemned to Curb, Jimmy Higueras, and the user Pascual Cervantes.

Before beginning his speech, Higueras placed an L because he claimed to be "A newbie in this area and that's why I put on the" L "of being in practice because any of you knows disability better than me."

He also explained that "Basically, the factor that generates feelings is society: it classifies what is right and what is wrong, as in the movies: in general they associate the deficiency with the evil of the protagonist. This unconsciousness, although it seems that no, does have a brutal weight on the consciousness and development of the person. "

Along with Jimmy Higueras participated Pascual Cervantes, who prepared a brief speech to give his point of view on disability as a person with different abilities. With the help of Higueras he explained that "As I move, as I speak, or as I interact with others, it is to offer a path to the world. Wanting to do something, even if it is the smallest action, with the result we will be better trained."

The workshop was completed with the completion of a playful workshop with games designed for this event that gathered volunteers, users and family members in the center courtyard.
