Turisme CV will allocate 200.000 euros to the Dénia City Council to promote the gastronomy promotion plan

30 July 2021 - 12: 50

The Consell has authorized the signing of the collaboration agreement between Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Dénia City Council for the implementation of the plan to promote the gastronomy of the town and the Valencian Community during 2021.

Through this agreement, the Generalitat, through Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, allocates 200.000 euros for the Dénia City Council to carry out the actions included in its plan to promote local gastronomy.

In this way, the Dénia City Council undertakes to carry out the actions included in the local gastronomy promotion plan, such as the initiatives framed in the D * NA 2021 festival that will be held from October 29 to November 1.

Specifically, through this agreement Dénia will carry out communication actions to promote the event during the summer season, taking advantage of the arrival of tourists. Likewise, it will also promote advertising and adaptation of spaces for the celebration of D * NA.

The D * NA 2021 festival will vindicate the entire agri-food and tourism value chain, as it forms tourism excellence as a whole. The events that will take place are intended to cover the festive-cultural atmosphere of D * NA and involve the different cultural groups, economic sectors and local civic associations and, at the same time, add them to the celebration, offering them a platform for promotion and recovery of their activity.

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana has among its objectives the performance of actions aimed at promoting the different products and tourist destinations of the Valencian Community.

Dénia is one of the most representative tourist destinations in the community and has become a gastronomic destination par excellence. Its products and catering establishments have given it a level of quality that in 2015 allowed it to become part of the select group of creative gastronomic cities of UNESCO.

    Then good,
    € 0 public infrastructure
    0 € playgrounds
€ 0 streets patched with globs of asphalt
    € 0 public housing
    ..but
€ 200.000 for the personal display of 4 of his chefs restaurants are PRIVATE companies and 99% of the population will never go to their restaurants, also promotions of tourism companies also PRIVATE, more promotion of tourism today totally uncontrolled in the hands of also PRIVATE companies we put a dough.

We do not learn that one should invest in alternative industry, because very recent experience has taught us that betting alone and solely on tourism is not the way to go.

Tourism and hospitality companies do not generate wealth for society (... least for them), they do not generate quality jobs (... they are not interested) and obviously they oppose everything that threatens their private gold mine.

And the Consell and public organizations put a lot of PUBLIC money for their promotion.

Why tell me, what benefits do we, people, workers and normal citizens not dependent on tourism have from all this gap?

All right. In addition, so much gastronomy so that in the end tourists come who what they do is buy in the supermarket and eat at home or drink on the beach. The highest percentage of tourism that comes does not care about gastronomy. They are not clear about identifying the target audience for their product, at least they would have to fine-tune not only go mounted utopian events for the usual ones to end up patting themselves on the back and even!
