The Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana has published this Thursday Decree 21/2021, of February 5, of the Consell, approving the regulatory bases and direct granting of aid to professionals in the tourism sector and tourism companies that carry out their activities in the Valencian Community.

Turisme Comunitat Valenciana will allocate a total of 18 million euros in direct aid to professionals in the tourism sector and tourism companies that carry out their activities in the Valencian Community.

Decree 21/2021, of February 5, of the Consell, includes among the recipients of the aid to the establishments where the tourist stay takes place, the companies that act in the field of intermediation between tourism supply and demand and the whole of the experiential tourism offer that, in terms of quality and tourism product, contributes to differentiate the Valencian Community from other competing destinations.

The direct aid articulated through the aforementioned decree will have as beneficiaries the persons and entities that own tourist accommodation and travel agencies registered in the Tourism Registry of the Valencian Community, as well as natural or legal persons adhering to any of the following programs of tourist policy promoted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana: CreaTurisme, SICTED, L'Exquisit Mediterrani and Mediterranew Musix.

The regional secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer has stressed that "these aid respond to the need to inject liquidity into companies in the sector at a time when they need to resist".

In addition, he explained that "these grants reflect the story and the strategy of enhancing the accommodation, the unique product and those who work to offer quality tourist services that help reinforce our destination."

Francesc Colomer has emphasized that "these aids complement the Plan Resistir of the Generalitat and are compatible with other subsidies or resources from any administrations or national public or private entities, the European Union or international organizations".
