The weekend has been very positive for the Multiesport-UCMontgó team that had a double performance on the part of its cyclists.
On Saturday in Yecla, the members of this group participated in the second scoring test for "Vinalopó Interclubs Tournament". In this race, Javier Almela managed to climb to the top of the podium in the Master 30 category with eighth place in the General Classification on the tough final climb to the Santuario del Castle of Yecla.
Sunday in Xàbia, in the second scoring stage of the "Volta La Marina", Dani Plaza climbed to the podium as room, Master 30 and Ventsislava Mladenova finished as first female. The icing on the cake was the achievement of leadership by teams, after the stage of Xàbia.
A leadership that will have to defend in the third stage to be held next Sunday in Bellreguard. The Multiesport-UCMontgó leads with a time of 9: 51.04, being second the Velosol Cyclim Team that is to 15 seconds. The third team is the Mister Bike-Gobik, which adds a time of 9: 52.30.
