After 7 months, the asphalting of the central Pare Pere street begins

31 March 2021 - 12: 51

The project with which the City Council seeks to return the center to pedestrians still has a lot of work ahead of it. However, today it has made great progress on Pare Pere Street, possibly the most important road affected by the works, where the asphalt work has begun.

In 2018, the great redevelopment project for the Valgamediós and Tenor Cortis squares, and Pare Pere and Mayor streets was presented, but it was not until August of last year that these works began. Since then, the works have taken over that area of the center, making it impassable, and the only visible result is that of Calle Mayor, although there is also a glimpse of what will be a Tenor Cortis square with a very continuous aesthetic with what already existed or with what is the style of Glorieta Country Valencià.

Now, although there are already 7 months of work, finally this morning the paving of Pare Pere Street and Tenor Cortis Square began, which is one of the last steps to conclude the work on the site.

If there are no unforeseen events, therefore, in a few days only the Valgamediós square will remain to end the great redevelopment project.
