A new edition of the Dansant a la Marina festival will take place on the weekend of September 12 and 13 in the Torrecremada gardens. The crisis caused by COVID-19 caused the festival, initially scheduled for May 2 in its usual venues, which are the Municipal Market, Marqués de Campo Street and Consell Square, to be postponed.
In September, it has been possible to organize this new edition, with changes and news that will make it very special. On the one hand, the place of celebration, which is moved to the Torrecremada gardens. In addition, although the festival maintains its founding commitment to support Valencian companies, in this edition groups from the rest of the Spanish state will participate for the first time, such as the InMotus company and the Siberia / Paloma Muñoz company. The rest of the lineup is made up of the company Mou Dansa, Projecte Arredomar, La Lola Boreal, Fràgils Dansa and the Jove Companyia Gerard Collins. The artistic direction of the festival is in charge of the dancer Isabela Alfaro, from Fràgils Dansa.
On the other hand, the current situation has meant that some of the city's dance schools that usually participate in Dansant a la Marina this year cannot be present. Yes, the Quatre de Mari Ángeles Signes school, Dénia Dance Academy by Miguel Ángel Bolo and the Teamorfosis Association will be present, to which the Department of Culture wants to thank for their involvement.
