Occupational Therapy and Speech Therapy services are added to the Hospital de la Pedrera

The multidisciplinary team of the Hospital of La Pedrera of Dénia has incorporated to its services the specialties of Occupational Therapy and Speech therapy for patients referred from the specialties of Rehabilitation, Neurology or Psychology of the health center.

Áurea Álvarez, head of the new Occupational Therapy service, analyzes the activities of the patient's daily life, detects their deficits and focuses on the activities they will need depending on whether the deficit is motor or cognitive.

Speech therapist, Conchi Carrasco, helps patients restore their communication skills and work on swallowing problems.

With the incorporation of these new services, the patients of the Pedrera Hospital will be able to use the learning in their daily life.
