From today Monday, November 2, and throughout the month, citizens can express their preferences about the future design of the open space, garden or square, in which the site of the old ambulatory has to become, in the heart of Dénia, in Marqués de Campo street. To participate, you can access the survey from the website of the Dénia City Council (www.denia.es) and Participates Dénia (www.participadenia.es).
The opinions of the public will be sent to the writing team of the bases and the technical and administrative specifications of the ideas contest that will be called for professionals from the world of architecture and engineering to present their proposals to transform this space. The Alicante College of Architects is in charge of this work and the subsequent organization of the jury table that will assess the projects that are presented.
According to the forecasts advanced by the Councilor for Territory and Urban Quality, Mr. Josep Ripoll, the bases of the contest could be made public at the beginning of next year and in the spring have the verdict of the jury. The budget item for the execution would be included in the municipal accounts for 2022.
For his part, the person in charge of Participation, Pepe Doménech, explained that the survey of preferences for the Marqués de Campo site can also be filled out in person at the Les Portelles Participation Space (open to the public from 9 a.m. to 14 p.m.) and at neighborhood meetings in the month of November, which start today in Baix la Mar.
Among the questions that are submitted to the opinion of the public, some focus on the uses that the new public space would have to host (cultural, rest and leisure, environmental, etc); others ask about the quantity and quality of the vegetation that will be planted; and reference is also made to the services that could be provided (fountain, playground, furniture, etc.).
The Councilor for Participation has highlighted that the survey is open to all ages, "because the Children's Council has demanded more effective participation of the little ones", and both neighbors and visitors to Dénia.
The contributions of the citizens will serve to finish defining the bases of the ideas contest.
