At the beginning of the week we learned that Oscar Mengual, current councilor for Festes, Normalització Lingüística i Habitatge, was not part of the candidacy list for the PSPV, for the next local elections in Dénia.
My personal relationship with Oscar has always been cordial and collaborative, especially when I was Councilor for Housing and we worked on joint proposals, mainly in the area of evictions. Her dialogue spirit meant that, despite our different political positions, work talks always ended with an agreement and thinking about the best for the public.
When Oscar assumed the powers of Parties and Housing, his dialogue and open attitude did not change, which facilitated great agreements on this matter.
If we talk about parties, it is difficult to find, within the wide festive sector of the city, someone who speaks negatively about Oscar. With his constant support for all the festive associations and his presence in the activities they carry out, he conveys a sense of collaboration, support and closeness, which is very important in a local politician.
My positive assessment of the importance of the party in Dénia, as an economic engine and social backbone, at a cultural and recreational level, is something that you also understand perfectly and there are the results.
