Members of the Dénia Regional Fire Department have held this Sunday, December 9, in the afternoon, one of the strangest performances of recent weeks: they have rescued a goat trapped on a steep cliff in the game of Rebaldí de Xàbia.
The alarm was given by a neighbor after several days of listening to the animal when it was walking with its dog. What at first seemed normal to him, assuming that it was a herd grazing in the area, today he has especially called attention to being Sunday. The man has leaned out and found that it was a goat trapped in a cliff of the game.
Immediately he has called the Local Police of Xàbia, which in turn has given part to the Regional Park of Firemen. Up to the site two vehicles of the regional park have been moved: a van of tools and one of control and headquarters, in addition to an agent with experience with these animals.
The first problem was to get the goat out of that area, and they got it by passing a rope around the animal's neck. The goat is now in a safe place, and the work is focused on finding the owner of the animal, which is in good condition.
