A woman of 23 years has been arrested as alleged author of a crime of simulation of kidnapping after having reported being kidnapped and held in an abandoned house for a whole day and later discovered that it was not true.
The woman left her house in the direction of Villajoyosa, as she does every day, to go to work, but that day she did not return home. The husband tried to locate her by phone but did not locate her. He could not get in touch with the workplace either, because he had just started and he did not know exactly where he was. The man denounced his disappearance in the Civil Guard of El Verger, who began his search immediately, questioning neighbors, his children's school staff, and even contacted relatives in Valencia, but nobody knew anything.
What he declared
Two days after the disappearance, the woman went to the barracks of the Civil Guard of Benissa to say that she had been kidnapped. According to her, on the same day of her disappearance, when her working day ended, while waiting at the bus stop, a white SUV, with three men inside, approached her and forced her inside.
Then she was taken to a stone house in an open field, her purse was taken, and she was forced to drink a glass of water containing a drug that made her numb. The next day she woke up and those men put her back in the car, leaving her on a road in Villajoyosa. She wandered as best she could until she reached the bus stop, and returned home.
She also told the officers that she was still a little dizzy, and with a headache, because of what she had been forced to drink. He remembered nothing of what had happened during the hours he had been in the stone house.
What the Civil Guard concludes happened
The first thing the Civil Guard did was to transfer her to the hospital so the doctors could do an examination, and they would take samples to check if there had been any sexual assault, or if she had been drugged.
The tests did not show, initially, evidence that he had suffered any aggression, and no substances were found that indicated that he had been drugged, however, the Civil Guard continued with the investigations, recognizing the area where he said he had been kidnapped , taking statements from new witnesses, in order to clarify what happened.
The investigation of the Civil Guard has revealed that, apparently, this woman had left with friends, voluntarily, and the outing was extended for two days, so he devised the story of the kidnapping so that her husband did not know what in reality had happened.
The result
The simulation of crime is a crime included in Article 456 of the Criminal Code, for this reason, the Civil Guard of Calpe, has proceeded to the arrest of this woman of 23 years, as the alleged author of a crime of simulation of crime, fake his own kidnapping and an illegal detention.
The judicial authority has decreed his release, with the obligation to appear in court, and may be punished with a prison sentence of six months to two years.
