The Museu de la Mar de Dénia, located in the building of the old fish market, in the port of the city, has received a total of 14 visitors since last June, according to data provided by the Service Municipal of Archeology and Museums. During the month of July a total of 67.395 visitors visited the facility and during August they were 21.357.
This new cultural and museum offer of the city has thus achieved very good reception among neighbors and visitors, by presenting content never treated, being free to access and, in addition, to be located in a nerve crossing point, to the center of the facade sea of Dénia.
The quintessential symbol of the city's heritage, the castle, has also registered a good number of visits during this summer. As of July, a total of 17.750 people have enjoyed this Asset of Cultural Interest and in August the figure has increased to 23.414 visitors.
The Archaeological Museum that is located at the top of the fortress is visited by 44% of the people who access. The number of visits to this museum during July and August has risen to 18.687.
