The municipality of Dénia has received a grant from 200.000 euros from the Department of Social Welfare that will be used for the development of Social Services programs during this year.
Specifically, the programs that will benefit will be those of social emergency, home help and intervention, prevention and social inclusion. In addition, this subsidy will be used to finance part of the staff of the base team of the Municipal Social Services.
It is subsidized with 47.100 euros the program for the provision of individual economic emergency social assistance (PEISS) carried out by the Consistory of Diane. The Home Help Program has been awarded 60.000 euros and the intervention, prevention and socio-educational insertion with unstructured family nuclei and minors at risk, 15.000 euros. The pre-labor Social Insertion Workshop (TAPIS), aimed at people with chronic mental illness, receives 7.500 euros from the regional grant.
Finally, the Ministry of Social Welfare has granted an aid of 70.400 euros to cover the salary costs of a psychologist and four social workers of the Social Services base team.
