Last Saturday, July 11, the Congress of youth from the BLOC to the Navy (Marina Alta i Baixa), with the aim of renewing its executive. In it, Sergi Alemany was elected as the new county secretary.
In Alemany's words: "I am looking forward to working for the youth of the Navy, taking into account the situation we are currently in, and that is why I start with great enthusiasm and enthusiasm as a new district secretary. Furthermore, this coordinator and I will aspire to be the regional benchmark for left-wing youth, feminists, ecologists and Valencianists ”.
Some of the objectives that the new coordinator has set is to work to guarantee decent access to housing with more accessible prices for youth, continue to demand the reversal of the Dènia-Marina Salud hospital and that no people are left without primary care, thus such as working for a change in the precarious seasonal work model for youth, among others.
The Congress was held in the town of El Poble Nou de Benitatxell, municipality of the outgoing secretary, Víctor Bisquert. For Bisquert, “They have been two very intense years, marked above all by the electoral cycle, where we have reactivated the region and have become the political benchmark for young people. But now we have to keep adding and working so that the region will once again be attractive so that youth can stay and work in their region and with decent conditions. "
There was also time to take stock of the last two years, in which the most important job has been to help electoral campaigns in all towns and cities, emphasizing the importance of participation in these processes by the youth of our region. As well as the campaign carried out for the liberation of the AP-7.
The new district secretary, Sergi Alemany, is from Dénia and is studying the Degree of Management and Public Administration at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Passionate about this region, its people and its wealth. It is clear that politics is a transforming tool of society, always at the service of
people and especially for youth. It also participates in the local collective of Compromís in Dénia.
