Since we entered Phase 2 on June 1, restriction relief measures have increased in many ways. In terms of leisure, one of the most anticipated, and which has finally arrived, was the permission to go to the beach to swim. Now, what about community pools?
The Ministry of Health has confirmed that during Phase 2 the community pools can already be used. However, bathing in them will not be as easy as before the crisis.
These must be regulated with the same restrictions as public swimming pools. This means that the community pools, public and private, will be able to open during this Phase 2 but only at 30% of their capacity. In addition, it will be mandatory to book with an appointment in advance for its use, something that will surely be a problem for many neighboring communities when it comes to managing it.
They must also increase the tasks of disinfection and maintenance of the pool, both of the water and of the adjoining common spaces. The deckchairs must have a separation of 2 meters, a distance that the neighbors must also meet in the water, and the placement of towels on the fences is prohibited.
