The mall Portal de la Marina announces the start of painting work on the planetarium for the children's area of the Hospital de Dénia, work carried out thanks to the funds donated by the shopping center after the challenge launched last November, "Kilometers Solidarity", in which hundreds of runners joined in a matter of days to reach the goal.
Virginia Carrasco, director of the shopping center, and Alicia Ventura, director of the Art Project of the Dénia Hospital, accompanied by Dr. Josep Mut, Head of the Pediatrics Service of the Dénia Hospital, and Natalia Casado, director of Care and Services, and His team visited the pediatric area where the artist Juanfer Sáez was working, in charge of designing and painting the ten rooms and the pediatric ophthalmology office of the center. This task requires more than ten hours of work in each of the spaces in order to achieve a complete planetarium whose stars and constellations will illuminate the nights of the little ones.
And it is that it has been shown that creating such a pleasant space favors relaxation helping children to sleep better. In addition, and for the project to go further, Juanfer Sáez, who is also a primary school teacher, will be in charge of developing and producing educational material related to the subject, so that children can continue learning about the sky, its planets and its stars. .
For Virginia Carrasco, director of Portal de la Marina, this initiative “is proof that when a good idea arrives, you have to bet on it. Therefore, when this project came into our hands, we did not doubt that we had to be part of it. Today, when we begin to see the result, we reaffirm ourselves. We are very happy that the children of the Hospital are going to have a much more beautiful space. We want to thank Juánfer for his excellent work and all the people who took up the challenge of the kilometers to achieve the goal ”.
