Last weekend the children and adults of the Swimming Club Dénia Aquàtic Marines they participated in the fourth provincial control in the Alicante town of Petrel. Eight swimmers traveled there, competing on Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning in different races, achieving very good results.
Benito Pastor achieved the ninth position out of 35 swimmers in the 200 freestyle event with a time of 2'08 "19. In the 100m backstroke he stopped the timer at 1'08" 42, remaining in seventh position out of a total of 26 swimmers. In the 100m freestyle he achieved a time of 59 "08, remaining in this test tenth out of a total of 38 swimmers. Unfortunately and due to an irregular turn he was disqualified in the 200 styles test.
Antonio Bonilla also had a great day, managing to swim the 200 free in 2'24 "92. The 100m free in 1´02" 61, a hard 200 styles in 2´24 "92 and the 50m butterfly in 32" 88.
Javier Sanabria also stood out for his time with a 31 "96 in the 50m butterfly. The 100m butterfly in 1'17" 59. The 100m free in 1´07 "03 and the 200m free in a time of 2´27" 68.
Pau Nofuentes swam the 800m free with a great time of 11'13 "47. A hard 100 breaststroke in 1´31" 30. The free 100m swam in 1'08 "21 and the free 200m stopped the clock in 2'30" 86.
In the absolute category the swimmer and trainer of the master Pau Escutia Caballero had a very good participation in his tests; the 200m free swam in 2'19 "03 and the 50m butterfly in 32" 52.
The girls of the club also obtained very good results. Andrea González participated in the 400m free with a time of 5'42 "08. The 200 styles in 3´00" 62. The 50m butterfly swam in 37 "52 and 200m free in 2'35" 52.
Lucia Kropf swam two tests, the 100m back in 1'24 "34 and the 200 free in 2''46" 48. Teresa Irigoyen swam 100m back with a time of 1'28 "93. 50m free in 35" 55, 100m free in 1'20 "31 and 50m back in 40" 28.
Coach Carla Ruiz gave them a two-day break to later go back to the water and the gym at the facilities of the Real Club Náutico de Dénia to prepare their next competition.
