Sant Jaume appeared in Ondara with the 'Compte arrere' party

Ondara counts the days that remain until the 20 in July, when the Sant Jaume festivities will begin, which, until the 28 in July, will fill the municipality with a ludic and festive atmosphere. As a preamble to this year's festivities, last Saturday, 30 in June, the party was celebrated Compte Arrere, organized by the Commission of Sant Jaume and the Department of Festivals and Traditions of the City Council of Ondara, directed by María Carmen Velázquez.

The event was held in the Plaza de Toros de Ondara and around the Prado, throughout the day with varied proposals for all audiences: lunches, games, karaoke, carts, concert of La Mocha, "the great cagà", bar service throughout the day with food and drink at popular prices. The profits collected will go to the funds of the 2018 parties.

Among the various activities held, "La Gran Cagà" awarded a great prize of 600 euros, which was for the participation 501 sold to a neighbor of the town, Pepa Garcia, who turned out to be the winner of the prize money. As for the raffle of the party, the raffle will be held shortly.

During the day, the youngest could enjoy a playground with inflatable castles in the morning, and popular "bous amb carretons" in the afternoon, with the collaboration of Espectacles l'Afició. The Councilor of Festivals and Traditions, M.ª Carmen Velázquez, thanked the Commission of Sant Jaume for their involvement and work in the party, and thanked their cooperation to all neighbors and neighbors who have participated in the events.
