The rehabilitation of the Torrecremada estate is put out to tender for € 2.559.026,14

The Local Government Board has approved putting out to tender the contracting of the rehabilitation works of the Torrecremada farm, for a total amount of € 2.559.026,14 (including VAT). The building, original from the 1970th century and acquired by the Dénia City Council in XNUMX, will be used for educational purposes and master and postgraduate courses at the University of Alicante related to gastronomy will be taught.

The execution period for the rehabilitation is 20 months. The project is co-financed by the City Council and the Department of Universities, which this year will invest, to start the works, € 500.000 between the two administrations. In the next annuities, the remaining more than 2 million will be budgeted.

The actions that have to be undertaken are already defined in the Basic and Execution Project for the rehabilitation of the Torrecremada building, updated to the regulations in force during the last legislature, which includes, for example, the conditioning of classrooms, workshops and offices for the teaching staff on the first and second floors, and two exhibition and multifunctional spaces on the ground floor and on the first floor. The rehabilitation will preserve original elements of the house, such as the hydraulic pavement and the ceilings of the time.
